Jambatan Cempakasari. (Cempakasari Bridge)

Hello Yeops and Yongs!  This is morning after the solat Eidul-Adha at Masjid Parit ( Perak Tengah)

I decided to explore this bridge , you can’t see it from the google map, switch to satellite view and you will see a small bridge crossing from Parit to Kg Belanja Kiri.  This bridge connects the villagers from the nearby village across Sungai Perak ( Perak River) to the Parit town.

Sungai Perak (Perak river)

The bridge is about 375 meter is length and about 3 meter in width ( estimate) . It has two motorbike lane and a pedestrian lane. So as you can see below, motorbike or bicycle gets to use the tar lane and the pedestrian uses the tiled lane.  There’s two  pole before the bridge entrance, this is to prevent people who uses car to drive across this bridge. There’s the Tanjung Belanja bridge further upriver / north for that bigger vehicle to cross this river.

Actually we could make it better, to enable the bridge to be use by Civil Defence Force, Fire brigade  or the Emergency Medical Team / Ambulance to cross this bridge at the time of need.

There’s a few  spots in between the 300 meter bridge that has wider area for the pedestrian to enjoy the river view and also for picture taking ( scenery or selfies). In terms of traffic, on the festive holiday, there’s quite a traffic now and then but for most of it there’s no commuters crossing the bridge.

I didn’t get to the far end, which is Kampung Belanja Kiri. Hope the few pictures helps to give you a better picture on the area it self.

Slowly and do jump across

There’s a small island in the middle of the river and …there’s a staircase for people to get unto the island.  I can see few  good fishing spots underneath this bridge and on the island.  It gets even better, if you could cast your line from the bridge and enjoy night breeze on the river.

For outsiders and visitors who do understand English, please do behave while you’re on this bridge night and day.  If you have to be outspoken and verbal to comment about this place, please do it in the comfort of your own space.  Not at this place.  A place of this serenity doesn’t need vulgarities and obscenities coming out loud from any visitor.  Come and enjoy the scenery and natural surroundings. Take pictures. Cool. OK.

Walk on the red tiles. Ride on the tarred lane.

Off course I’m wondering if we could have the same bridge in Manong? For those who hails from Manong,  any suggestions welcome on how to make Bekor connected to Pekan Manong.
